PFS’s activated carbon bags are are typically used for chlorine reduction or for potable water treatment, to improve the taste of water. They are constructed of a coconut shell based carbon. Carbon filter bags can operate at higher flow rate compared to carbon filter cartridges

.Carbon Bags are available in either Size 2 to suit a standard housing, or Size 5 to suit the HPP 100B plastic housing.

Carbon filters are not recommended to remove particulate and therefore a suitable pre-filter should be installed upstream.

PFS also have available an alternative bag filter with a greater carbon content; due to it being manually filled with loose carbon granules.
